The Sauce Guys was founded by Ezra Niles while serving a four-year tour as a culinary specialist aboard a United States Navy vessel. During his 2014 deployment to Portugal, Dubai, Greece, Bahrain, and Spain, Ezra immersed himself in diverse culinary traditions, learning unique techniques and discovering how different cultures blend herbs, spices, and flavor profiles. Inspired by this global culinary journey, he set out to create an exciting new sauce that would bring these international influences to everyone's table.

Upon returning stateside, Ezra launched the company in Newport News, Virginia, where it quickly became a local sensation. After completing his naval service in May 2016, Ezra relocated to Detroit, Michigan, and re-launched The Sauce Guys with a renewed vision. He reunited with two of his lifelong friends—Calvin, who now serves as Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Lavell, who joined as a founding partner—to build the business together.

With Ezra at the helm as CEO, The Sauce Guys team is passionate about bringing their globally-inspired sauce line to Detroit and beyond. Their mission remains ambitious: to share their unique flavors with food lovers across the globe, one bottle at a time.
